Women Veteran's Luncheon

Veterans Creative Arts Program, a subsidiary of Leland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12196 and Auxiliary, is planning a female veteran's luncheon on May 24th at 11:30 am. It will be held at the DREAMS Center for Arts Education on 901 Fanning St, in Wilmington, NC. If daycare is a barrier for you, please let me know. Lunch will be complimentary. As female veterans, a lot of our experiences are different than men. The purpose of this luncheon is to get together for support and camaraderie. Major General Martha Rainville, Retired, USAF will be our featured speaker. Please invite any other female veterans you know. Hope to see you at the luncheon. Let me know if you have any questions.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Every person who wore the uniform to serve their country has a story to tell. Working with our Veterans Creative Arts Program, I am inviting all who would like to document their story to contact me at vfwpost12196@gmail.com as soon as possible to register for a program to help you. 
 
This is not a writing program. This is not to publish. It is just an opportunity to work with you to document your legacy for family and friends. 
 
We plan to start this program in September.
